Ok so by now you may know I’m a huge fan of Entrecard. I think this widget is revolutionary. I’ve been getting tons of traffic, and it is extremely fun to use, if a little addicting. But this blog isn’t about Widgets, its about Alexa Spikes.

Today we look at the Entrecard Alexa Spike. On November 14th, Entrecard hit 12,000 on Alexa. On that same day, November 14th, Sheomoney had this to say about Entrecard.

So is it any wonder that we see Entrecard spike to 12,000 on that day?

Not bad. Not bad at all. One thing we notice is that it immediately begins to taper off. As there are over 100 active members of Entrecard now, these are no doubt the people returning every day. The 700 or so people it must have taken to cause that spike didn’t all sign up, and obviously won’t return. Needless to say, blogs that post daily are much better at retaining traffic from an Alexa spike than websites that offer a widget.

The Bottom Line:

Entrecard is a great service. All over the internet I see people ranting and raving about it. This is only the first Alexa Spike that we will see for Entrecard. My general sentiments is that we will see a general and consistent up trend in Entrecards Alexa graph.
